Bethanie Simmons-Becil is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and educator with over 14 years of experience providing evidence-based, holistically focused mental health care to multiple patient populations. She is passionate about integrating science-backed holistic interventions in psychiatric patient care, and is particularly interested in the use of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) in depressive symptom remission and combinatorial pharmacogenetics in advanced neuropsychiatry.
In practice, Bethanie creates a safe and comfortable environment for her clients to share their thoughts, feelings, and needs. She offers holistically informed psychiatric medication management and individual therapy, and has worked with a variety of populations across the lifespan, including veterans, active duty service members, incarcerated individuals, forensic patients, and those in inpatient and outpatient settings. She specializes in anxiety, depression, mania, and severe mental illness (SMI), including psychosis, dissociation, and trauma.
