Leila Patel is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Jacksonville, Florida. She completed her associate degree in nursing at Daytona State College in 2012. Leila continued her education by receiving her bachelor’s in nursing at the University of North Florida in 2019. She has practiced as a Registered Nurse (RN) for over 10 years, caring for patients in a variety of settings, including critical care, rehabilitation, and surgery.
After caring for countless patients and families as an RN, including through the struggles of the COVID-19 pandemic, Leila realized her true passion was in mental health. She graduated in 2023 from Jacksonville University with her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a PMHNP. Leila’s goal is to build therapeutic relationships through collaboration and client-centered care. She also provides clients with a safe space to fully express themselves.
Leila is qualified to provide care across the lifespan. Specific areas of interest include (but are not limited to): depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief & loss, bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and substance use. She is passionate about combining therapy with medication treatment, for a more holistic treatment approach, to improve quality of life.
